The Special School District (SSD) offers a variety of services and resources designed to help parents and family members of students with disabilities contend with the challenges their youngsters face.

Many of these services and resources are administered by the SSD Parent Education and Diversity Awareness Department who publish Parent Connection, a newsletter filled with information on workshops and events of interest to parents whose children have special needs.

The SSD’s Family and Community Resource Center (FCRC) contains a wealth of information on many disabilities and disability-related topics.
